Changeover (SPDT) relay uses in headlights

Post by TheOtherLeft »

I'm about to change my headlight wiring.

If I'm using H4 globes (low and high beam in the single bulb) do I need changeover (SPDT) relays or just use the standard SPST relays?

If I use SPST relays then I need one relay for low beam and one relay for high beam correct?

SPST is what you need, with sufficient current ratings to cover the lamps you're using. That's usually one for low, and one for high, both of the common 30A rating.
This is not legal advice.
