bob lost free spool on the first night. jacko had a small fuel issue on ss5 and DNFd. and today he ripped the passenger swivel hub clean off the diff including snapping the steering knuckle of the swivel. carnage.

sheety and marshy were strong all weekend with only a few hiccups.

the SCA guys had winch problems on SS6 and for some reason un known to me didnt compete on sunday.

piggy and blackers got there late on friday and missed ss1 but did ok. blackers had starter probs on saturday and piggy required a bigish recovery today but i dont know why.

and i didnt see the claytons boys or the ava/boab boys or col warniken and his team mate go.

BUT..... the night stages were finished by 9, saturdays stages were finished by 330/4 and todays stages were finished by 1130
turbos are nice but i'd rather be blown

Well at last Sheety and Rob got to kick our arse, well done guys. Luck wasnt totally going our way on the weekend, but still got two stage wins and fourth place. Thanks to Stirlo for filling in at the last minute, as my Navi broke his knee on a trail bike just b4 the event (I told Ross to stick to 4wds). Stirlo definatly got a experience in roughing it out in a old spring leaf Hilux but I must say he showed me a few things to get a bit more out of the old girl. This was one of the most fun events I have been in for ages, it was a great venue, and all the teams didnt just work well between themselves but also in helping other team members out who had breakage dramas. Well I better take my pillow that I have need to sit on now for my sore backside and head off. Might see some of you in Rocky in a few weeks....

Those scores that were posted were done late last night and did not include the outside penalties.

The correct ones can be found at :-

This was another great event from MMM. CONGRATS to Robbie and sheety( although if sheety didn't get a penalty they would have been sooooooooo far in front ).

The only down side to the event was the group of winch competitors (or crew) stopping vehicles as they left the comp site and undoing there hubs just before the climb up the hill!!! I know who you were and i am really dissappointed as this was absolutely crazy and almost resulted in 2 written of cars!! If you want to carry on like idoits do it to your own cars, not spectators!!!! The FEW specific spectators we did have will probably never come back and i am sure we will get further bad reports about this incident......

I cant beleive they could be so stupid. I hope MMM does have a reply to this as i am sure he would never condone such idiotic behaviour as it is damaging to our sport!!!

In regards to Gregs comments:-

I would like to apologize for the childest behaviour shown by a few of the "Winch Challenge" people.

This silly stunt of unlocking hubs on vehicles could have turned into something more serious with damage being caused to vehicles or worse injuries to people, "All is fun until someone gets poked in the eye".

Myself and my supporters have worked too long and to hard for some irresponsible person or persons to bring Xtreme 4X4 Sport into disrepute.

I will be looking into this mater more and if I find out who were responsible before they make a formal apology, I will implement Xtreme Rule 16:-

16. Sportsmanship

The goal of XTREME 4X4 SPORT is to promote a respectable sport and promote sponsoring companies in a professional light.

During all XTREME 4X4 SPORT events proper sportsmanship is required.

If a competitor or team member (including support help) promotes unsportsmanlike conduct, is rude or abusive to officials, landowners, fellow competitors, local authorities, sponsors, destroys property, displays drunken or disrespectful behaviour they and, or the entire team may be disqualified from the current event or future events.
