i found a old 4by sitting in an old shed on the weekend and i might do something with it if i can get it for the right price but its some thing ive never seen or heard of before it russian built 1977 model arrow 242 is what ive been told i couldnt read the compliance plate very well and was told this info later the vehicle looks similar to a gq shorty sort of it has coil front and leaf rear 4cyclinder petrol and is shaped in ute style any information or help i can get about this vehicle would be good before i purchase it cheers BennyBigBalls

A) This thread is useless without pics
B) Unless it's in really really good nick, you're gonna be in trouble. You'd want to be really handy with the tools and willing to make/source/adapt stuff to keep it running.

constructive help im looking for info on the car before i buy it yes it is in good condition and i know it is a rare machine so something a little more helpful would be good im hoping the price will be free to good home im pretty handy with the tools metal fabricator by trade and have access to a machine shop to make any parts no pictures yet i didnt have my camera with me but i will be going back to the farm to cut timber asap and will take pictures next time for your perusal ill send them direct to you

Looks more like a G60 than a GQ, there a still heaps of them running around in the USSR but getting parts might be difficult.

Probably runs on Vodka.... with the price of petrol may not be a bad idea.
