This is my first post on Outer Limits, also my 1st question regarding my Pajero. My wife & I bought the 2001 NM Pajero about 6 months back and I'm thinking it needs new coils and shocks (rough ride). I thought that while that was getting changed I'd get a 2" spacer lift (if you can get one).
So the question is can you get spacers for the NM & where do I get some 2nd hand (cheap) stock coils and shocks. I know people have the coils and shock as I held onto mine (out of my KJ Jeep) for about 1yr then chucked them out. They had only done 5000 k's (from new), and had no problems so I thought someone may have the some lying around.
The Pajero is our family rig and will probably only be used on easy trails and sand. So I'm not looking for extra travel & will probably upgrade to 265/75/16 in the next few years.
By the way, I like the pic therad & will add my stock NM to the thread in a few days.

Mate, a set of Kings is your best bet. You can get them in either standard height or 2"raised, for around $130 - $150 an end. They'll give you a MUCH better ride than someone else's second hand standard ones. Also might pay to look at your shocks. If it's still got the standard ones, odds are they're a bit tired.
If you insist on using standard MM springs I've got a set in the shed you can have if you're in Brissy.

Yep, it's an NM Exceed..... soooooo nice inside but as you said dreadful when you hit a bump. I do believe that the 130'000 k's on it and the fact the the previous owner drove it to Perth and back via NT could be part of the reason it's so rough.crh

NM pajeros are notorious for a "rough ride" particularly low speed stuff.
Every road test I have read on those models complained about it. More car-like handling at the expense of ride quality. A friend's NM Exceed is dreadful.
Some new gear will make a huge difference.
Do you guy's have any part numbers on the coils and shocks or should I talk to Mannell Motors when I have the dosh.
That's if no one in Syd has a set of OEM coils and shocks that are in good order for next to nothing. I will see if the forum has a wanted section I can post in.
