I believe that all the engine mounts, clutch etc are the same , but the 12HT has a few various vacuum lines etc that you have to take care of. Try searching through the Cruiser Bible i think there is some info in there. Wouldn't mind doing this conversion on my 60!

thats what i want to hear, that everything is the same.. ie mounts, etc etc
i had a flick through the Bible last night, but couldnt find a 2H to 12HT swap, only the V8 conversions. il try to have another look tonight.

i was gunna do the V8 thing, but then this motor come up at the right price... so i kinda figure, y not? then if and when this one fails on me. thats when the V8 cometh.

but any info from anyone that has done this swap would be great. thanks in advance

If its just a weekend toy then a v8 would probably be cheaper and lots of fun, but if you want a bulletproof allround motor its hard to go past the 12HT!!

the block for a 12ht is virtually identical to a 2H

only difference is they have a few extra oil feeds tapped in the drivers side for the turbo feed

and they have all the piston skirt cooling jazz on the bottom end.

so everything will bolt up. The differences are with the head and manifolds. pre-heat system is different.

Nothing real complicated to work out.

cheers,

ok i was talking to the guy, and was misinformed, it just seems to be a 2H with an after market turbo..., so the conversion will be just as simple... correct?

simpler

all you need to do is swap engines, everything will plug together etc.

at most you may need to custom up some air filter routing.

Would have, if it really was a 12hT. Bad luck that it is only a 2h. Oh well, like they said above, makes for an easier swap.

Considering the condition of the 2H in there currently, its a definate improvement. Hurry up and get the motor Greg, then you can get that Bobbed 60 going.
