Manual Hub Problem (Circlip)

I am having a problem getting the circlip onto the shaft after the drive clutch.
I have replaced the spacer and bush inside the rotor hub as the old ones where floged out.
But know I have done that I cannot get the drive clutch back far enough to put the circlip back on.
I have put a screw in the shaft hole to help pull the shaft out further still with no luck.
I have also pulled the whole thing back to the cv and cleaned a redone everything

Any though would be great

have had similar issues before, and sat there for yonks tryin to get it on.
ended once with vice grips and a second set of hands holding it out while I did the clip

Check you have the thrust washer in the correct way as it has a chamfer on it.

Is the thurst washer chamfer meant to face the CV or the chamfer facing the stub axle

Hi The champer faces the CV ,I have had the same problem before and now use a piece of pipe or a socket that neatly fits over the axle and tap it lightly and the circlip pops into place,,
