Best Rim offset for GQ with 36x12.5 tyres

Post by auspwr »

Hi guys,

i have 36x12.5 x16 simex pedes. i've had them for a while, with rock crawler rims.

now its time for some beadlocks, so wondering what offset people have found best so i can get more of a full lock in steering back.

the rims i have now have a 100mm back rim offset. they are 16x8 rims

cheers daniel

hey

not sure what 100mm back works out to be.

but on my gq ute ive found that on an 8" rim and 12.5" wide tread sumthing around -25 offset works well. clears everything at the front and clears the chassis rail on upward flex on the rear.

hope that helps

The normal offset for a 16x8" is about 13mm negative.

15x8" rims are readily available with a 23mm negative offset.

Yep. Thats what everyone calls "landcruiser offset". Thats what i have run on all my Patrols. Never had any scrubbing issues aside from usual problems with 37's on an MK.
