Tough truck.
I'm interested in this myself. It has all the right mods.
But at $8100 and still climbing, with the reserve still to be met, who knows how high the price will go.
There is a point where value for money stops, and this car is nearing the boundary.

Have you added the cost up at all, don't think it is nearing the boundary at all.

At the end of the day it is still just a zook ;) by comparison they dont hold there value well no matter how much money you have thrown at it.

My thoughts exactly.
Despite the fact that it's had $20k spent on parts to build it, it is still only a sierra.
Anyone building a modified vehicle with the intention of getting their money back is dreaming. It's not an investment. The lost value is the price you pay for the fun of driving it.

Worth $10k? Absolutely. If I were to build an identical model from a bog stocker it would definately cost more. However I could not sell that same car for the price I was to pay.

Very true, however, even if Rods zook (one stop suzi) went for 10k + roadworthy, you'd probably still come out on top compared to what you'd spend to buy a project sierra + all the gear + time/cash to fit it all up... ;) Roady down in Vic if Qld wouldn't pass it possibly?
Also depends what you'd want to do with it, road register it or comp it. Pretty fair price fr all that- I know I've invested double that into my thing and it's not as 'finished' as that zook either.
Hence, if I was to go back and do it all again, I'd buy a completed or mostly completed modified rig at someone elses loss and simply adjust & add to it slightly to make it 'my own'.
On the flipside, it's the satisfaction in modding and upgrading your own from scratch that makes us all spend the time and money that we all complain about.
I don't agree with the 'it's only a sierra' comment, just as easy to say 'it's only a cruiser' about Dobbins or Autnacs trucks really, they just cost 6 times as much...
There's some good bargains in those fleabay links I must say!

You may be lucky enough to sell it to an enthusiast but as you said alot of them prefer to get a cheapy and mod it the way they want, instead of buying someone elses problems ;)
