Just chasing some info on the 7100 series shock. Has anyone used them on a hilux solid axle or any thing else and if so what did they think of them. Also what valving did you use.

Have a look at http://www.eshocks.com there is a page on bilstein shock rates and a table of recommendations for different vehicles and single or dual shocks - also good prices given the exchange rate.

No biggy on getting them re-valved if need be.
I recommend Baker Bros in Melbourne, but Heasmans in Sydney and Quadrant in Melbourne are the Oz importers and so can also do re-valves/rebuilds.

Thanks for that. Going off Bilsteins valving chart i'm going to order AK 7114SB05 for the front . It will be interesting to see how they work with parabolic RUF. I'll keep you posted if anyones interested.

At a guess yes. With no shocks in the front i can get nearly 500mm of spring out of it so i'm a little bit worried about on road handling. Might have to work out a swaybar for it . I've seen one off a speed car being used here on outers but i'll get to that when i finnally get to drive it again.
