Wheel offset/backspace for Triton?

Want to fit 265/75 R16 Muddies or #@%^*!! S/T's to my Triton, not sure of what wheels to get, looking at ROH Track 2's. 16X7" or 16x8" not sure of which offsett? -12mm or +9mm. I want to fill the guard, get better traction, and keep it legal tritonasuras? Any body?

No Body Lift(No planns for it). Thinking about suspension(towing/sagged!), OME?

Im currently running 32x11.5x15 MTR's on 15x8 alloy outlaw rims (can't remember what brand..) Not sure of the offset of these wheels but u could go to a tyre dealer and get some specs...
they do reqiure flares to keep them covered...

Was only running a shackle lift (2 inch ish) and had the bars cranked up..
Wheels used to scrub a little on full lock at articulation....(also no front mudflaps)...
Now have a 40mm body lift (newly installed) and things r even sweeter...
Possibly going to play with rear end in the new year....maybe replace springs, maybe a pajero/coil rear end...????

Maybe u know someone with some and u could TRY them for a while...

Yeah I'm not a fan of 16" rims but some rigs have to run em due to the brake size, the new Prado has to run 17" rims
15" rims are also much cheaper.
What I found was that the ROH Trac 2's have a wider offset (ie- stick out more past the guards) but leave more clearance on the inside.
The Speedy brand has a narrow offset and stayed level with flares on the Paj but I did get some rubbing on the idler/steering arms. These were with 15x8" and 33x12.5x15" BFG muds.
There was only the one size for each brand in 15x8".
As for 16" rims I'm not sure if there is more choice or not but they are about twice the price though.

32x11.5x15’s are around 292mm wide and still have a sidewall profile of approximately 75% of that width... awesome mud tyre! But as an everyday commuting/touring tyre, the excessive profile, noise, and not to mention the possibilities of aquaplaning; I doubt even a silica tread compound would help, with nearly 1 single foot of tread on the ground at each corner of a vehicle the weight of a triton.

Nice looking ute, Tritonasuras. I have seen those Outlaw rims previously; they featured unnamed on a single tone, dark blue, dual cab, Triton in an ARB catalogue. I think they accompany the triton exterior very well. Never the less I would rather plain white spoke wheels for my triton, 'cause I’ll never polish a set of alloys; to keep up their cosmetic value (despite their few technical benefits). How do you find the MTR's; handling, mileage, traction, noise etc?

Frank, I am leaning heavily towards 16" rims as i can achieve close to 32 inches overall diametre(with a 265/75 R16) and ample width, without excessive sidewall. Bearing in mind that we are talking about genuine four wheel drive tyres And each quality of a tyre has a trade off, Especially when I plan to only use one set of wheels and tyres(and I not a mud racer YET phhh..... ). The old 16x6 wheels wrapped in all-terrains are to be forever cloaked in darkness.

MTR's r just beautiful... i have had them for 15 months and appears to be little if any wear...
find them good right across the board. They r a little noisy but i expected this when i bought them... hard to find a bad thing to say about them actually...

Alloys, well... i suppose each to their own... I quite like them myself (hence why i bought some) but i don't polish them.... Think thats taking things just way to far... to much bling is not a good thing....

How bout some pics of your vehicle ???

I shall post up some new ones in the new year...
