Where to get quality 4.6's?? Ive heard of G&J, but theres some average stories out there..
What else is there apart from genuine .? Worked out better value to get teh whole front diff, housing and center than just the center! Only $300 more I think it was... Was few mths ago now

I got Ryans old 4.6's sittin here outa the MQ not doing a whole lot if interested. did u need the whole brake to brake setup or just the centres?

IMPORTANT NOTICE...
The MQ rear crown and pinion will fitt PERFECTELY BOTH rear and front!!!
And you have a BIIIIIG advantage: the front diff will be a REVERSE crown and pinion, which in the US is a must for any off-roader...
TIP: all you have to do will be to change the front diff satellites: take yours, fitt it to the rear MQ diff (H233 also), then put the ENTIRE diff AND housing diff on the front GQ axle....Then (I came back to Wandle and his tie-rod set-up...that's why I'll mount it, besides the clearence on the tie-rod...) you can mount the Wandle set-up, as the original GQ tie-rod can't pass above the MQ diff house (the pinion is not anymore a High-angle pinion), which means (for big lifts more the 3") that you have to cutt the gear-box cross member too in order to clear the front CV...
I think that this is the cheappest solution to run 4.625 or even bigger crown and pinion rate (I have now GENUINE 5.1...)...
I deserve a beer, isn't?!?

Everyone was so poor, that even the breweries couldn't afford to produce more glass, so they sterilised, filled and labeled whatever they could find. Buy a 6-pack and odds were good that there would be 3 or 4 different bottles within it. Anyway, maybe my mate was full of shit, Gabriel will now for sure though..

The facts are that after our "revolution", back in 1989, yes, we where preatty poors...but from 1989 till now...we are better now. In 2007 we will be part of the European Community, so it looks to me that if they want us...for some reason will be!!

...and, of course, for turists, is a good deal to come to Romania, as all the prices are related to the salary...

I also have to wait for the 2.5", 14" travel ,w/res, coil-over RAce Runners shocks that should arrive from the States end of this week....as it proves that my coil-overs, based on Bilstein truck shock is not resisteant enough...I destroyed the shaft on BOTH rear coil-overs...;-(((

hmm, I don't know what our romanian friend is on about there.. I guess it is reversed when compared to a normal reverse cut gear
cool though that you can get a complete MQ with a 4.6 rear gearset, for less than the cost of the nissan gearset.

I have G&J 4.88 in my GQ diffs (under a 40s though), running 6.2 chev diesel, airlockers and 39 swampers and have had no probs at all, where very easy to set up and have so far been very strong. i was a bit worried at first as the pinion is smaller but no probs at all. Would have no hesitation in reccomending them.

Don't want to hijack the thread or anything but I have 3.9 diffs according to the plate - and they are LSDs as well according to the stickers that are still on them (a good sign as far as previous-owner-abuse goes, I reckon!)
So let's say I fit 35" tyres (hypothetically) and therefore want 4.3 or 4.6:1 diffs. Would the fact that I have LSDs make this a heap more complicated? Ie, would I be sacrificing the limited slip for the gruntier ratio?
Forgive me if this is an idiotic question - go any deeper than the bearings and the innards of a diff are a bit of a mystery to me.
No doubt I am gonna learn
