aye there im thinking when i get my new suzi that i will try and use the air con compressor for an air compressor and just let the car idle or somthing to pump up the tires for road/ after 4x4ing

is this possible and has anyone done this?

do you need and aux air tank/resivoir?

If its a vane style compressor then don't bother - it will run dry and then seize.... Axial piston - if done properly that's a different story.

Vane compressors DO NOT make good candidates for air compressors. I have tried and I'm not the only one (Mightymouse who occasionally lurks away from the Daihatsu page has tried too) They don't push much air and don't last long.

Axial piston.... maybe.

York piston - for sure, but these are really big and hard to fit.

The smaller endless air compressor definitely fits - I have fitted one to a G13BB. I want to confirm I can fit one to my 660.

Yep possible.

i have mine from my vitara front cut and works great. just gotta remeber to oil it before use.

How ofter do you oil it nicbeer? Each trip? I've got a compressor with my Vitara engine and was looking at putting an inlet oiler on, but a few drops of oil each trip would be easier.
