Whats required for a winch Challenge
Want to no the reqements and whats needed to enter a winch challenge,Thinking vic winch to start off.
RE. winch challenge
funny that
vic winch last year needed:
window nets
approved 4 point cage minimum
battery isolators
tyres under 36.5" i think
first aid kits
recovery equipment including recovery points on car
fire extinguishers
(thats all i can remember)
Then there is certain factors that see you entering in challenge or trophy class.
Dunno how it is working this year at this stage.
In the CCDA handbook you can read what is needed for certain events, just need to find out wat Class Vic winch is classified under.
Email CCDA and find out maybe

good knowledge of your car and how it works will help. also, the ability to be nice, most/all competitors are willing to lend a hand if not parts to help another competitor out.
and at the moment youll need a GQ patrol it seems.
turbos are nice but i'd rather be blown
