Reduction Gears

Just got my reduction gears from lowrangeoffroad.com, just wanting to know if anyone here has installed them their self?
I've looked at the instructions, and i'm relatively mechanically minded but just don't want to bugger it up.

Does anyone who has done it before want to do mine for a slab?

hey mate,what gear set did you get??i just got my 6.5s last week and fitted them myself.it wasnt a hard job at all,if you follow the steps its good.good experience anyway,good luck with it
sierra truggy,37 sticky treps,propane,6.5s and disconnect,lux diffs with spools,16" fox shox,hydro steer.

I did it without instructions, the hardest part was removing the old bearings and installing the new ones.The kit comes with 2 needle roller bearings, I recomend getting the front output needle roller bearing but dont bother (like I did :roll: ) with the other needle rollers that arnt included. About $30 each and they wernt really worn in mine.
There is a thread elsewhere about the gears and instalation.
You will also need dremel etc to grind case if 6.5 gears.

i was pretty happy with myself once i got that bit of my car built myself, good expierience even tho it took me a while and i had to get mechanic mate to borrow his rattle gun and undo some flange nuts and push two bearings on. it wasnt hard i just follow the instructions and put it back together the way it came out.

i labelled everything which helped as bolts which hold the 3 parts of the case together are different sizes so dont get them all confused

apart from that, get stuck into it!! :armsup:

Sorry for the lack of info in the first post, had been a big day.

They are the 6.5 for a 1995 WT Suzuki Sierra.
Thinking I'll give it a go myself, just follow the instructions and try not to get to excited and skip a step.
An excuse to buy a dremel, sweet. Been wanting one for a while now!

i just fitted a set and used a 4 inch grinder to clearance the case there is plenty of room to get the grinder were it needs to be removed
