finally got hold of a camera...

finally got hold of a camera...
Hi all
having kids really eats into your time, but I have finally got the camera off the wife to load up some of a few things that I been working on lately...
an 80 litre waeco does fit in the back of a rangie, plus a water tank and a storage box (yet to be carpeted) for spare parts, plus a place to store a tool box.
Fridge slide makes it easy..
roof console...
stronger rear trailing arms to combat the force of a maxi drive locker and 33 x 12.5 BFG's
steel rock sliders which I made a while ago now...
what's left?
New springs. currently have 2" lift with 1" spacers, but getting rid of all that and getting 3" lift springs (thanks Shane), then just a new/ or modified rear bar.
Cheers

Nice work Andrew
You will be able to take some before and after pics with the 3" lift flexy coils compared to 2" lift coils. ( I still don't know when those rear coils will be ready, Dobinsons have been dragging the chain a bit)
I couldn't really tell from the pic but have you chopped your guards yet?

Hey Camo, console came from www.consoles.com.au Not cheap and a bit fiddly to fit (need to remove roof lining), but comes up great. It has really bright map reading lights.
Hey Shane, yes guards have been chopped, mainly around the back doors and the rear of the front guards. I have extended bump stops to limit upward travel. No worries on the time delay...
Sprover...rear maxi to great...so to is the front!
Gave both a huge test at Janowen 4wd park (outside of Brisbane) earlier this year.
Cheers

looking tidy,
my dads old rangie had similar alloy tanks in the rear one on each side and held 70lt each one for diesel and oth for water tank, they take up dead space really well and they dont stick out further than where the tail gate opens, add a cargo barrier and gives u a good sqaure area to work with

Corgie Carrier...water tank is from LRA... the only issue with it is when full (i think it holds about 65 litres), the side buldges out. I have had to run a metal strap (30mm x 10mm flat bar) along the middle section to compensate.
Disco1modified...the trailing arms are just the original arms sleeved with 42mm NB (Nominal Bore), 4mm wall pipe cut to length and forced over the original bar.
Cheers
