Dude that's good news! It's bad enough trying to get a truck in there let only when the place is full of water! That first hill with the wash out just after the gate is BAD!
Yeah good point. just throw ya claws on the rear of the truck for the trip out, she'll be fine.

although, last time i was there after rain, i thik it was the day after theyd gotten 70 or 90mm or something, the roads seemed quite fine. I was just commenting that I think wet rock makes for great driving/comp spectating!
But the best thing was no dust. the dust was an absolute killer over expo weekend...(albeit im in a soft top)...

Crap, we never drive it around, its part of our camp, if I have to pay, trucks have to pay because they serve the exact same purpose.

just to clear a couple of things up...

COMPETITORS
- no charge for camping from Saturday through til Monday
- only the competitor vehicle gets free entry into park
- if competition vehicle is towed, then the tow vehicle also gets free entry IF:
. - there is no one else in the vehicles apart from the driver and navigator; and
. - the tow vehicle will not be leaving the base camp.

these are the general entry conditions that we use for all competitions!

Congrats to those who competed and thanks to everyone who supplied Tim and I with some great action to photograph, we got some great shots over the weekend.

We'll have all the photos from Trophy Class up by the end of the week on the website at http://www.digitalstill.net/gallery2/ga ... temId=7342

If anyone wants to see some before they are posted up on the site, you're more than welcome to shoot me an email at angela@digitalstill.net and I can email them through, just let me know which team.

Photos from Round 1 Trophy Class at Janowen Hills are on the site too for anyone interested and some from last years comp too.

All photos are available in any size up to A1 (594 x 841 mm) and also do large (A1) canvas prints. See some examples at the bottom here http://www.digitalstill.net/gallery2/ga ... temId=3445

Was a great weekend, really looking forward to next round!

Angela.

The only real problem I saw was how many attempts some trucks would have at the same obstacle and excessive wheel spin.
Even I had 3 decent attempts at the end of track 2 and then got told I still got another one even though I was in the same spot, was surprised about that.

Not naming any trucks but one at the end of track 2 had about 6 attempts in the one spot
