SLIDERS-How would you mount them?
Im building some sliders for the pooptrol but not sure how to mount them to the chassis. Not sure if i should weld plates to the chassis or use a u-bolt type set up.any tips guys?
You would need to weld in crush tubes if bolting through.Dominator wrote:what about bolting thru the chassis. Just like the plates but instead of goin under and over the rail go thru it???
If you don't want to mod the chassis, bend the mounts into a U, so they only clamp (bolt) on at the top.

There's about 10mm in it at best, and I've never heard the rocks or the plate complain. They still slide free as can beGuts wrote:That way gives 2 more things to get stuck on.
Weld plates of at least 10mm to the side of the rails, these plates should have holes drilled and tapped in them. Then just bolt the sliders to that. This way leaves the bottom edge of the rails smooth.
