carter or Holley fuel pump

Post by pongo »

I changed from a chinese holley copy pump due to it being non moisture tight in the motor, etc. and went to a genuine carter black fuel pump.

Carter is awesome, but managed to snap a nylon keyhole between the rotor/vanes and the motor shaft. This happenned in the snowys, and managed to go back to wagga using a drum on the roof and gravity feeding it, also made it back to sydney from wagga, what a sight.

My patrol is a MK 3.3l TD.

After seeing the week point fail in the carter pump, I am curious to see what otyher opinions are.

To me the carter are awesome, but no real happy with it after 15k due to breakages

Cheers
