gearbox oil leak on a 2006 Jimny

Hi Guys,

I’ve got an oil leak that appears to be coming from the back of the gearbox where the prop shaft goes in.

This leak was there when the car was new and I took it back to Suzuki who replaced the rear seal and the prop shaft. This fixed the problem for about 50,000k but it has now returned.

I’ve replaced the rear oil seal a few weeks ago but it’s still leaking.

Before I take the car back to Suzuki, can I ask has anyone had this problem? Are there internal oil seals within the gearbox that could be causing this problem? Is there some trick to replacing an oil seal?

Any advice would be a big help here.
