leafspring flex
hey guys iv got a 95 duelcab styleside lux with efs 3 inch lift on 33's if i take out 2 leafs out of each spring will that help with flex and if i put 2inch extended shackels how high will it sit?? iv heard if i do this my diff will move and screw the bearings will it?? and how do i stop it?? im very new to 4wding if you didnt notice
Try searching man. thats why there is a search option at the top of the page This has been spoken about alot.
Basically 3inch springs have alot of camber on them to bring the car up, so for more flex id prolly drop a acouple of short leaves, then throw ya ext shackles in and that will bring it back up to the height it was. The camber also makes them stiffer in some cases however the efs 3 inch kits arnt too bad...
As general rule m8 2 inch lifted shackls give around an inch to ya ride height.
All aside you will have to make sure you have the right length shocks for it ect there is no point trying to push big flex and run lil shocks just wont work..
So your answer, drop a few leaves, will sit ya car down an inch. wack them shackles in and she will be back up to 3 inch ride height. NOTE: extended shackles are not the answer to everything mate. i run standard fronts, check my thread in members section...
Cheers, Chris
