What sort of figure would be an acceptable maximum for EGT's post turbo on a 3L Hilux?

The figure I was given was about 600C .. or 800C pre turbo ( as an absolute definate you only want ot be in that range for a few seconds MAX) That was Kiwibacons advice I think .. been so long since I drove my dudlux

In all my tuning I do a dyno log of EGT's in standard form and match the EGT's after any mods, the problem with EGT's is they do creep up with time. I found over a 12 second power run the EGT's peak about 550-580 degrees after turbo if the starting temp is 300 degrees. This is within 4" of the turbo outlet. A stock 3L makes about 60 rwkW, we got 108 rwkW with a roller bearing turbo, intercooler with a rapid chip as they are tuneable. We managed this with no increase in EGT's.

Cheers
