1992 Vitara, G16A motor, auto trans. No spark at coil, fitted a new coil, still same, no spark.
Any ideas!!

Carb or EFI import motor?

Is there an igniter?

checked the dizzy and rotor button and sure its spark at coil not dizzy?

another one is check the power to the coil is not getting cut

Carb model. Power appears to be getting to coil - checked + & - terminals when ignition turned on, however, no spark from HT lead when engine turns over.

Check the gap between the reluctor and pickup in dissy.

Should be a very close fit but not touching. Have seen this before, a slightly bigger gap than required and a slightly lower cranking speed and no spark.... Sometimes follows a period of getting a bit harder to start over a few days.

Of course could be a dead module.

It seemed like a much better idea when I started it than it does now.
