Last year the cost was $250 per team!

I expect it would be the same this year!
But I hope to confirm with the organisers tonight.

Possibly. Teams event. Based more on team work then being the best single competitor.

Our General Meeting was held last night.

The rule regarding the wheel spacers was raised and voted on.

Wheelspacers will now be allowed to be run in the competition, upto a maximum width of 75mm (3") and must be of the type that have separate studs, not the kind that are merely a ring used to space the wheel off the mounting surface.

the rules are currently being amended and will be updated on the springs website. http://www.thesprings4x4.com.au/2008%20 ... llenge.htm

so dave, i guess we'll be seeing you at the springs for the challenge on 15th - 17th august :D

Taken from here- http://www.thesprings4x4.com.au/2008%20 ... llenge.htm
Now, if you're not familiar with the Logan Challenge, it is a survival-based 4WD event. Kind of like the Outback Challenge (but on a much smaller scale of course). However, it is different in that it is not an individual effort. Like last year, each team comprises 3-cars and a manager. The Challenge is accepting 12 teams (36 competing cars), and the competition will run over the Friday night, Saturday and Sunday. The event will have everything included, from winching, hard drives, GPS runs, mechanical stages, first-aid , to basically anything 4WD related.

If you want to be in a competing Team in this years event
I would suggest you quickly gather the troops, complete the required forms and promptly paying the team nomination fee!

Cheers

Normally there are
Driving stages
Recovery stages
Navagation stages (Compass)
GPS
Mechanical
First aid

The event is set out with anthing up 20 stages, every thing you will be asked to do on these stages, is something that you may come across when out driving with your mates.

Its a good fun event for the entire team

As of today there are only 4 positions still available in this years Logan Challenge. I suggest to anyone who is intending on entering a team that hasn't sent there forms and paid the entry fee already to do so as soon as possible to reserve your spot.

The Logan Club is also proud to announce that Simon Christie from 4wd TV will be competing at this years Logan Challenge as well as bringing a swag of cameras and crew to capture all the action and excitement.

For any spectators thinking of coming for a look The Logan Challenge is a great event to come and see a wide variety of vehicles tackling varying types of terrain ranging from hill climbs, rocky gully runs, flat out stages, winching, mechanical and first aid events as well as a few novelty stages thrown in to keep everyone cheering.
