mmmm, seems to be just like another thread. I'll make the same offer here though. If anyone has a system running on a vehicle, petrol, lpg, diesel I will run it on the dyno at no cost, if it works we should see a discernable difference in power with the system on or off. I'd like to see for myself.

And let's not get into the zero point energy people and the people who think that if you vibrate the water molecules at just the right frequency they split apart as if by magic.
Heard of string theory? the law that combinds all of the laws into 1 mathematical equation.
So far it's only worked to some extent but once you start to go into the atomic level those laws don't work anymore, so there's another completely different set of laws for the atomic level.
Also you can produce some energy from vibrating water molecules... how do you think microwaves cook food?
a lot of the physics stuff has been lost over the years, as there's a US guy that can move a 10 ton barn around the backyard by himself without cranes.
if you went to an engineer these days, they'd say you can't do that, that would go against the laws or facts but it doesn't.

It's a theory - mathematicians playing with equations - it's not a "law". Which is not to say that it's not very exciting stuff. I remember reading about everything being explained by one theory - which requires 11 dimensions. Unfortunately, they can't identify all 11 dimensions. We've got three dimensions of space, time is considered a 4th dimension (by some) but there's still 7 or 8 more dimensions to be found before that theory really works. Oh, so close!zagan wrote:Heard of string theory? the law that combinds all of the laws into 1 mathematical equation.

It's all to do with temperature, which is a measure of the speed with which stuff moves at the atomic/molecular level. Higher temperature means the atomic bits are moving faster. Microwaves accelerate the movement of the water in the food, which increases the temperature of the water. The increased temperature is what cooks the food.
Or, maybe the microwaves split the water molecules into hydrogen and oxygen, which then spontaneously ignite, and it's that combustion which heats the food!
Hang on. When I heat water, it get's very hot before it starts to make bubbles. But I'm sure string theory can explain that...
Microwave ovens don't "produce" energy. They take energy in the form of electricity, turn it into microwaves (another form of electromagnetic energy), which then heats the food - as described above. Microwaves do not miraculously "create" energy.
Moving a barn? I've gotta ask for a link, because I think we're losing something again. Perhaps there's a youtube video of this mobile barn? Does the guy have a wand?zagan wrote:a lot of the physics stuff has been lost over the years, as there's a US guy that can move a 10 ton barn around the backyard by himself without cranes.

A speed camera would have prevented that!
I think you should bow out of this discussion too. Lest you have to reregister under another name so people will take you seriously again.zagan wrote: Heard of string theory? the law that combinds all of the laws into 1 mathematical equation.

" If governments are involved in the covering up the knowledge of aliens, Then they are doing a much better job of it than they do of everything else "
ooooh, I just thought of a great hydrogen gas source that these schemes have failed to capitolize on .. The hydrogen gassing out from the vehicles battery .. tap into this vein of hydrogen and simply keep your petrol tank for starting the vehicle .. 500 kilometers to the litre stuff easy.

But we're missing the big picture here! Petrol, diesel, LPG, CNG - they're all hydrocarbons. And each molecule of fuel has HEAPS more hydrogen atoms than water, so why are we worrying about water?love_mud wrote:ooooh, I just thought of a great hydrogen gas source that these schemes have failed to capitolize on .. If we split the fuel molecules we should be able to release all this hydrogen, and use it to boost the efficiency of burning the fuel - which we just split...
And what will we do with the left over carbon???

I totally overlooked that ... bucky balls .. Yr12 Chem makes a comeback ..

Pure Genius.-Scott- wrote:Better yet, lets take CO2, split it into carbon and oxygen, then burn the carbon in the oxygen. No need to waste any of our precious water.
We would be taking all that nasty CO2 from the atmosphere, turning it into something useful, and generating more CO2 which we can turn into fuel!
