nuts off turbo keep undoing

90 lux 2.8 turbo,

the 4 nuts that hold the turbo to manifold keep coming loose i lost 3 off them last time it happened, about 3 weeks ago, and they were loose again today.

wondering why it might be happening, i dont have a flex pipe in the exhaust but it just runs down off the turbo and straight back and dumps just behind the drivers door. could this be causing it? or anything else?

can i just wack some locktite on the thread? or not recommended?

you need some fuji nuts (i think thats there name) basically a nylock only with a metal locking tab


coventry fastners or blackwoods should sell them



i just went to a bolt joint and asked for a metal locking nut and they knew what to get me

As pcman said metal lock nuts will fix your problem. I had the same thing happen on my 3L.

I used to run brass washers under the nuts.
