anyone know if retractable seat belts out of vitara or later model sierras(if they have em) will fit my 85 drover? they get dirty if left hanging out door when you play in the mud. :oops:

do u have the removable panels next to the seats in the B pillar?

My drover did not have this.

you can put one in the driver's side as it has the removable panel next to the seat in the B pillar but not the Passenger side hope that help's

no you will not as you dont have a removable panel. My 85 drover doesnt.

its a hard top hi top if that helps.
iv noticed gq pootrols have like an external seat belt roll box thingy. mite be able 2 mod it in

Yep, it will depend a bit on model. Many cars with fixed belts will have had 6" speakers hacked into the inertia reel well. IT has 4 large philips head screws covering it.

I 've worked extensively on a mid 80's drover tub and it definitely has the inertia reel wells.

Traybacks don't have the well, but they do have another bolt hole that will accept an external reel belt. (like the GQ one you mentioned, although I'm not familiar with them.

Pretty much all seatbelt mounting bolts are the same - there to an SAE spec.

of course you could just wear the seatbelt when you are driving in the mud so it doesn't hang out the door
