Post by ShaneGQ »

Hey all

just got a 2002 III 3lt auto wagon. just after best size lift and tyres. Should i do a 3" exhaust and chip upgrade? Is there a place in Brisbane that does this?

Winch and spotties on the way already.

Ultimate Performance at Brendale has done quite a few patrols and is also a DPChip reseller. There is a new owner there as of about 2 months ago and he is a really nice fella and I got quoted some very competitive prices from them. Happy with the job they did too.

Sliders to protect your vehicle.
3" lift with flexy coils and longer shocks. Click on link.
A locker on front.
Tyres to suit the terrain.

I would chip it but I personally don't like a noisy exhaust.
You already have the winch and spotties coming.

I wouldn't worry about the exhaust just yet wont make a great deal of difference.

Do the D Chip thats where you will pick up most of the power gains on the 3L also search the patrol4x4 forum more info there in terms of doing engine type mods to your 3L and longevity.

I would consider a pyro and boost gauge and also set your boost so it doesnt spike thats what causes the 3L to overfuel and then shit themselves.

Suspension.....
Koni shocks king springs.... everything else is pretty ordinary......

Tyres..
33" 285/75/16 unless you wanna go 35's will loose some power from them...
