zook kid, you have been a member here for about a year now! I think you know the drill... SEARCH! You will learn a lot more, a lot faster if you do.

i cant answer your 'silly question' with the information you have provided. What car do you have? where do you drive it? so on and so forth.

Please reply to this once you have done some research.

i don't mean to jump to his defense, but if you read his profile, it says he is a student, so, one must assume he is doing things on a reasonably tight budget, unless he is a student learning to cook meth or something.

he asked for a good suspension set up, for the front end of a sierra, one must also assume he is talking SWB, because most LWB owners are proud to be LWB owners, and will specify such when asking questions. (also a little bit less likely to ask "stupid questions")

thus i would think 2 inch lift OME springs, or the like, plus extended shackles, or RUF as previously mentioned are pretty good options.

now to open a can of worms...if he has access to metal work gear, he might want to think about playing around with "Wacky Shackles" Home made Shackle reversals etc. depends how different you want to be, and more so how inventive and innovative, (in my opinion, too many people sit around on computers talking crap about 4x4s, when they should be out wheeling.)

and if anyone thinks my previous question regarding the calmini suspension as a good rebuttal to this rant, its for my daily driver, unlike you eastern states guys, 4x4 comps and tracks are few and far between in good ole SA, thus i am after a kit that is relatively bolt on, bolt off. especially being a student, where i cannot afford to get a massive SPOA, Hilux Diff, f&R locker, diff geared, transfer geared, 4aze powered Monster truck running 37inch tyres engineered!

I have some separate to the body at mine if u want to have a gander. i "may " be able to bring one in to show ya

thanks to nic i now have brackets to put my WT flares on. thanks man these make it a whole lot easier.

this is a silly question but does any one still have a bonnet stay on their zook or do they just rest the bonnet on the windscreen?
i was maybe thinking of putting gas struts on the bonnet. has any one done this? pics?

i think i have one lying round home somewhere but yeh on the windscreen is where mine always is. (on the snorkel head in my case.)

gas struts maybe ok. bit of a pain to setup i think. i got some mega strong small ones here (100mm long) been thinking of putting on on my rear bar.

sorry another 2 questions is it legal to use gps as speedo
and does the accelerator pedal need a pad or is it standard with out 1

There's no pad on the accelerator standard.

However, you should probably buy one as i have been failed on a rego check for not having one.

I sprayed mine with
a tin of rubber sound proofing
to pass rego and it works every time
it gets passed

I would not bother with the gas struts. If you rest your bonnet on the windscreen its quicker and it lets more light in to see what you're doing. With gas struts it would only be another thing to brake or wobble loose.

What parts cataloge should i be using to find bits i'm after... the picture want33's posted before detailed for example the 3 pedels, the parts catalogue i'm looking at at suzuki info http://www.suzukiinfo.com/sierra/part_cat_samurai.zip dos'nt detail that...

Is there another pdf somewhere i shoudl be looking at or what?

The part i'm after is the crush tube for the rear pinion, and was hoping for a part number for it, and next stupid question... do you order from suzuki or just local parts store?

id just go to a diff shop for the crush tube, they will probable just give it to you( part will be to cheap to fill out paper work)
when you there also get a new pinion nut and shimms

Bump steering is a function of steering gemometry, and should not be effected by the RJE. You should get a more dirrect steering feel, but possibly more feedback. Funny you mentioned this, i pulled my steering colum last night as the uni is spent, and was looking into the same thing.

picked them up last night, have more offset then my other ones... so it's going to be better.
ones on it only hit the leef on lock and touch my strut tower on full flex, so these should clear it a lil more... have enough lift to clear everyhting else

think he means shock tower...
either way, i'm pretty sure they'll eat up the insides of your tyres still.
Pretty sure you'd need at least -25 to -30mm to clear...

Ok heres my silly question. Does it mater if my 4wd indicator light switch has broken wires? The wires snapped off at the base but I want to get it going before I can source a new one so can I drive fine with the switch in but not connected to the wires? This would just mean I don't have a light telling me when I'm in 4wd would it not?
