Otherwise I recommend maxxis buckshot mudders for a super tough cheap tyre.

Nankang mudders are generally always cheaper, Got mine at $185 for a 33! (really 32)

It pays to shop around... Quotes on fones etc, flick through the yellow pages

I with grpabt1 buckshot are the go. They seem to work and are cheap. I run these on my work ute and the last set were bout 190 for a 33x 12.5 r15
Its a wheelbase thing

I (and a few of my mates on various rigs) are running Maxxis Bighorns. These are more aggressive than the Buckshots and I have found them to be great! They are the best mud tyre under $200 IMHO (I reckon better than many that are over $300 too). They even drive nice on the road! :)

I can't fault my Silverstone MT117 Sport tyres. They're not noisy on the road and grip very well including the sidewalls. I think the old owner paid about $200ea for 31x10.5.

What size, and what is your meaning of cheap? (i.e. under $200, under $150.......)

2nd hand is always an option for the budget oriented, my road tyres are 31x10.5R15 Simex Centipede MTs which I got for $300 (set, with spare BFG), but I had to get ahold of another one, as 1 was torn. Better bargins than this can be had if yu are prepared to wait. Note brand new of these tyres is around the $200 each mark, can be had for about $180 if you try a bit.

I also recomend really getting to know what you want, and be prepared to bargin hard with the tyre seller, untill you get them for the price you want to pay (be reasonable). This applies to both new and 2nd hand. You would be amazed at the mark up on some tyres, particularly at some of the 'big chain' tyre mobs.
Wheeling on completely wicked angles, without even looking stable.

i payed $190 a piece for maxxis trepados 31x10.5x15,

if your in any relevant industry it pays to call around. say where your from and when there good to you offer to be good back to them if you get my drift.

He can get any tyre you want at the best price. I would be looking at Maxxis or Nankang if you want a bang for buck tyre.

i got federal 31x10.5x15 muddys. bout 200 each. they have good side tread aswell as a fairly agresive pattern (not as agresive as a centrepede etc) but they do the job

i bought some mud tyres 31x10.5x15 and 15x7inch rims for about 700 all up brand new so just ring around. tyre power sells speedy rims with a decent offset for about 50 each.. and then maybe ask for watever tyres are chepest or on special

I recomend the Buckshots too. I didn't know the Bighorns were under $200 bucks...

I recon maxxis bighorns for a shit hot muddy that drives pretty well on road too. Im using them now on all my work utes.


or Sliverstone extreames for mostly offroad if those lugs dont give you a woody your in trouble :twisted:
85 high roof 1.3, 6.5 tc, air lockers,ruf and 34 swampers. yep its an ugly pos.

Silverstones or Bighorns!! I hate maxxis buckshots, ive always had something against them no idea why, they look as bad as my old AT's :P

Some swear by the maxxis trepadors too, mtr's are good too.

i have a set of maxxis trepadores and they are very good. picked them up new 2 months ago, $190 each for a 30 from fourbys in moorooka

Ever used them? No? Then don't knock em. For what they cost they are good.

What he said, I got a set of new 31x10.5's Firestone Firehawk RMT's for $165 each that worked well, for their price.
