same r and p but sidegears are different as there is a different spline count between f and r.

yeah just checked then the ring is 43 teeth and pinion is 11
which works out to 3.9 ratio when divided but yeh they have different size axel splines so if i blew the diff i could just change the gears over.

are the axel splines the same size front and back on nt and wt sierras?

NT diff ctrs will bolt into a WT housing and the axle splines are the same ( just different lenghts)

You might have trouble with the flanges on the ctr. NT 1ltr and NT1.3 and WT have different bolt spacings. you will either have to swap flanges over and reset backlash on the ctr or do a half and half on the diff end uni. pull the tailshaft out and see if it bolts to the new ctr first before ya pull everything apart. Can save a heap of frustration is ya know first.

NT is 3.9:1... WT is 3.7:1.
Centres will swap over easily but front and rear are different as mentioned /\ /\...
I put NT 3.9 centres in my WT housings and changed the flanges over to suit.
If you blow a diff it'd prob be easier to change the spider gears than the ring and pinion.

axle splines are the same NT to WT but WT are just a tad longer. Front axles are slightly smaller in diameter to rears.

Usually refered to as tailshaft or driveshafts ( From transfer case or gearbox to the diff's )
