What oil for Warn high mount winch?

Hello just wondering if someone can tell me what type of oil a warn high mount winch takes and how much oil you need to put in it? Cheers.

Check pirate4x4 website, or failing that ring up Ateco.....

When I rebuilt mine, I used Castrol 75W-120 gear oil. I figured the heavy weight and viscosity would help under load. Also the main seal on the side used to weep oil. Once the thicker stuff went in, it didn't leak one drop.....

While you in service mode, drilll and tap holes top and bottom, for filler and drain plugs respectively. Easier than having to remove the winch from the car to do it.

Factory spec is 30w non-detergent oil, 6oz (about 300mls)
I use engine oil.
93 Nissan Pathfinder / Terrano Turboed VH45, GQ Trans and T-case, coil overs, hydraulic winch and fair bit of other stuff. (Currently a pile of parts in the workshop)

6oz is actually about 177mL.

I too used SAE 30 engine oil.
