moving NT spring hanger mounts to suit hilux diffs ?

hey guys .
ive been looking through "the bible" for awhile but cant find any useful info on how people have moved the spring hanger / shackle mounts ie widened them to suit hilux diffs.
im trying to decide wich to use , 6mm flat bar with bracing , or do a full box section " 75x75x3" any advice or pics would be great.
below is a pic of the particular area im talking about.

Not knowing much about zook'z but why can't you keep the chassis mounts the same and just inboard the mounts on the Diff's? or would this be too unstable? Its less work and doesn;t look to interefe with the diff pumpkin..... :?

i would move them on the diff but being a NT zook the drivers side spring hits on the diff pumpkin.

When mine was done it was done with 6mm?? plate from chassis out then braced on top with 2 triangle pieces between plat eand chassis.

how well did it work and can it be engineered.
i would prefer to use plate as putting a box section in would give another inch of lift , wich means i would have to lift the rear again.
a pic would be great , also did you do the same for the rear hangers on the front springs ?

I'd check out a WT chassis and copy that setup if I were you.
I'm not 100% but I think WT spring spacing is same as Lux.
IF that is correct you might be better off swapping to a WT chassis.

WT springs are about 30mm wider then the NT ( or at least the one i look at was) and the lux mounts are 60mm wider wich means i would still have to move the mounts.
also a new chassis would cost a lot more then for me to make new mounts. and i have already modified my chassi , ie chopped the back shorter.

They are close. Lux is a tad wider. Seen it done with out remaking mounts, the shackles and springs end up on a bit of a funky angle. Not worth a chassis swap.

yes the std lux diff can be modded to fit WT spring spacing by ovaling the holes of the diff..
BUT Whitey is using a NT chassic, so id so leave the chassic mounts and modify the diff mounts, and get some lower springs, those look massive (for a spoa)

yeah being a nt you have to mod the chassis mounts as there is no easy way of changing the mounts on the diff due to the punkin being in the way , i know they have mounts that they put on w/t that are off centred so as to bolt to w/t and to lux , but that aint gunna help you .

i extended my front wheel base so as to be able to fit 35's on my lux diffs and used box section at the end that way you can go as wide as you want , the rear front mounts i also used box section and just braced everything nice and strong .

what springs are you planning on using ?

sorry all my pics are on my other computer and they aint pretty anyways :D

you could always cut a section of rectangular box section to fit around the chassis and go right across from one side to the other like the attached pic and you could use it as a solid mount for a front bar or use it as the front bar

hey guys thanks for the advise ive been lying under the zook last night and i think the box section is the way to go.
to answer a few questions
what springs are you planning on using ?
and get some lower springs, those look massive (for a spoa)
the springs are ironman 2" lifted and im using ironman hilux shocks.
ive looked and there seems to be about 5-6" lift over standard. also the springs in the pic stand realy tall because there is no motor in it.
i will post some pics up after ive done it to share.
