38's on a 75

Off the top of my head i don't think the 38" swampers are all that big (i.e. they're under 38"). I fit 37x13.5" Claws (approx 36.5" OD) on 10" std backspaced rims on my HJ75 by moving the front axle forward 25mm (drilled perches) and some guard chopping (40mm off the outer, chopped out inner and replaced with plastic). Don't have a body lift and very little spring lift. I think without the extra offset of the 10" rims you i'd have had more difficulty.

I'm on a similar boat to Stu, depend how flexy your suspension is. I run 35'' simex on a 16'' rim which measure about 36'', on a good day i'd have a 2'' suspension lift, for clearance I've chopped 50mm out of the front guards and lifted the inner guard. On full suspension articulation they still rub but not to bad.
