where to get a pto winch servised?
my pto winch needs to b striped down and servised where is a good place to get this done? and can u get bigger eyelets put in your cable/ where to do tat as well?

Do it yourself mate. They really are pretty basic inside, and all that you can really do is clean them out and put a good VERY HEAVY grade of oil in it. At least if you pull it down you can see for yourself how it works and get a better appreciation for using it. you can also check the condition of your dog clutch and see if the shoulders are doing ok (rounded shoulder make it jump out while winching.)

i don't know if it's right or wrong, but it sounds pretty horrible looking
they need a very heavy oil to keep the gears covered, and also because the worm drive produces a lot of slide friction on the crown gear. Hence you need an oil with a lot of shear strength (very hi viscosity).
