Hi all if you hadnt figured it out by my name im a bit of a patrol fan but i think im finally turning to the darkside just after a little bit of help full info what needs replacing or modifying with body lift and how high can i go what needs to be done with suspenion mods you know brake lines castor angles uni joints that sort of stuff and what are peoples recomendations for suspenion mods weather it be springs and shackles or spring over so on and so fourth should have said it from the start would like to get 33s under her but also like everyone else not looking at spending a fortune many thanks in advance and i look forward to reading peoples posts

To do a bodylift you need blocks, female bolts (just cruizin does a good set) and a fuel filler extension pipe and front bar adjustment.
You don't want to lift the body unless you HAVE to.
SWB Zooks fall over easy enough without help.
To fit 33's you'll need a 2" body lift, seam/guard bashing, move the front diff forward 1"+ and 2" spring lift with bumpstop extensions..
OR.
Chop shit out of the arches and move the diff.
As far as suspension mods go, the sky is the limit but generally.... 2" raised springs with a couple of leaves removed to soften them and extended brake lines.
Rear springs up front (RUF) is a common mod that works well but is involved.
Spring over axle is illegal in most states and is complicated to get right.
Good luck with it..
The hardest thing with Zooks is working out which mods will work best for you, there are so many things you can do.

Remember too that Sierras don't need as much tyre as a big car as they are smaller and lighter - A sierra on 31's will easily match a patrol on 35's off road. Also, there are lots of opinions on here from different states. Not everything works everywhere. NSW guys tend to run their cars taller and need more axle strength than we do in Vic.
There's lots of good tech on here, but you'll also learn a lot by coming to a club meeting and talking to guys that drive the terrain down here all the time. There's always cars in the build in the club and we've got experience on cars with 35's and over on them
