anywhere from $600 to $1500 depending on turbo and that is getting someone else to do it. as above you can do it yourself but you will still need to get it rebalanced at around $100.

it is way cheaper to buy new turbo's from ebay, but not from ebay aus or some cheap Chinese copy. you can get original garrett's from ebay usa for dirt cheap (i got my gt28rs for $580 delivered).

cheers mark

I presume this was a used turbo. If not would be interested in where you got it from.

I've done that and I was very happy with the results.
You don't need to get a turbo rebalanced. First stripe the nut, shaft and wheel. Put it back together in the same orientation and it's good.

I've also run three different turbos which had parts replaced (like compressor wheels) without rebalancing, two of them are still running fine, one died an early death when it's feed line came apart.

Not intirely true, if you mark/index all parts and re-assemble them exacly the same way you take them apart, with the exception of the seal bush not balanced it will be fine, done many with no issues

But it's good to have more people confirm the same thing.
