power pack for jd2 bender - hydro tech

Post by bru21 »

I just sold my speedwerx bender.

I am about to order a model 4 jd2.

The hydrulic power unit is 110v so i am left with a few options:

air over hydro $US470
jd2 hydro $1345 and use a 110/240 volt transformer +$250
same with new sew motor $300

or new power unit. I looked today at the local hydraulic shop and they are quite dear 2k or so.

also saw log splitters on ebay for under 1k that look suitable

what have others done?

has anyone got the air over hydro and are they happy with bending speed.

Regards

Justin

Get the supplier of the bender to do 240v for the same price. If its sold in Australian it should work in Australia.

if that dont work there are air over hydraulic units around, I think there are some on ebay, just ditch the power pack and plumb up the air over hydraulic. I have seen these units work and they work quick enough.
