ifs to solid axle conversion

i have a '93 sr5 xtra cab. and im wanting to get more suspension lift out of it. i obviously cant with the ifs cause my cv's will flog out. can anyone give me any info on solid axle conversions for my front? or a link to some info. would be much appreciated.

you woudl be suprised how much lift you can get out of teh IFS with a proper KIT to drop the lower mounts and diff.

Why do you want more lift? I had 35s on mine with a body lift and small suspension lift. I wouldnt be doing a sas for lift, I also wouldnt waste money on the overpriced 4" IFS kits.
Toy: 98 TJ with some mods and some bling
Tourer and daily: 120 Prado with some mods

cheers for the advice guys. i'd love to just be able to put a three inch lift on suspension. but ay we cant all have what we want.

so wind up the torsionbars 2" and put 1" BJ spacers in

was just trying to find some info on doing an sas. or even how far i can go on torsion bars without stuffing my cv's? and whats the bj spacers?? where can i get them from?

Personally if you are driving it onroad only BJ spacers are okay if you go offroad and do it hard forget them! 50mm with the torsion bars is about the most you can go trim the bumpstops in half and make sure you have free wheeling hubs. Thats about it or throw in 1"-2" bodylift.

As for doing a SAS the locktup site has all the info or go to Trail Gear and check out the install instructions

yeah i have a 2 inch body and prob about 1 to 1.5" on suspension. just want a touch more. could wind it up to 2 i suppose. thanks mate

Why do you want more? I dont understand the reasoning and like I said a sas isnt done so you can lift your car higher :?
