DipStick & filter

Post by MuVova »

Hi.. when i got my '92 MU the other week... it didnt come with a trannie dipstick (??).

Could anyone measure their's from the bottom to top, and bottom to the 'full' mark for me?

Also, anyone know part numbers / oz model numbers for a trannie filter kit.

92 Isuzu MU, 2.8 diesel automatic

Cheers :D

none of the isuzu's have a tranny dipstick :p

you just turn it on, stick it in neutral, and open the filler cap, fill it until it dribbles out, that is it

hmmm.... am i using 2b words? i mean automatic transmission... not transfer case...
There is a tube from the automatic up into the engine bay, finishes about 3" lower than the engine oil ds... surely it's not just a breather.. it's very open to water etc ... or should it just have a cap??
(thanks for the diff-drop link too! i'll tag that for lokka install time :)
