Limited Slip Diff Usage

Guys, Got hung up on a number of occasions yesterday.Diesel 2.8 pajero 1995 with LSD and centre lock. Any ideas on if I can get the lsd to transfer power to the non spinning wheel when the wheel spinning is right off the ground. I.E I fell in the ruts while straddling ( more than once) and one side of the vehicle was off the ground and the other side firmly planted on terra firma.

I remember reading somewhere you may be able transfer power from the spinning wheel with a particular technique, but cant remember, if it is at all possible, that is.

And yes it was muddy, even with chains on...

May be diff lockers r a coming.

If you drive a NJ paj any suspension tips, what do you run?

sure hope your not riipping up national parks with your chains???

you can give drive to the wheel with traction by applying brakes to all wheels, handbrake if its the rear might be enough, if not, your footbrake.

While healthy, Paj LSDs will tighten nicely with some load from the handbrake - but I doubt you would be able to transfer enough drive in the circumstances you describe.

No I wouldnt ever dig holes in parks. I have a large property to drive on.
I only use chains in parks when the snow is soooo thick that I cant push though normally. Thanks for the advise.... Will try next time I am out.

if it's still spinning, just apply more brake

I tried this technique in my Triton with the new hybrid lsd (viscous and torsen combined). I couldnt seem to get enough torque to drive up an suspension articulation ramp on 1 wheels in 2wd mode.
