Simex ET2's

Post by brighty »

Can someone tell me how much the Simex ET2's retail for roughly and how much they weigh(tyre only, no rim)??

Trying to work out a bulk buy and how much cheaper I can get them for in a bulk lot instead of paying retail price.

Cheers.

Simex have just had a price rise on the 7th of July. On average about 30 bucks a tyre.
If you tell me what size i'll tell you a RRP.

ahh yep. It'd be interesting to compare the prices for all of the bog type bias tyres in 35. I think I'll be going away from Simex at those prices.

You don't want these. They have a very round shoulder, they are super super stiff, heavy and quite small.

Go for an LTB if you're looking for little swampers. SX's woudn't be an improvement over a Simex.

I run 36 12.5 SX's on my merc and quite like them, but I'm beadlocked and it's a 2500kg car.

I like the LTB's but the problem is I think that about 32" by 10.5 is the limit of what size I can run on my zook (yes I've done all the gaurd work/bashing and moved the axle, it's the firewall that's holding me back). I might get away with 31X11.5 due to the less diam allowing more width before hitting the front spring on lock, but I'd prefer a little more hight.

these are the LTB sizes available on their website.

Prod. Code
Size
Weight
Ply Rating
Sidewall
Ply
Skid Depth
Tread Width
O.D.
C.S.
Rev
Per
Mile Rim
Max Infla.
Max Load

LTB-01*
31x11.50-15LT

22/32
9.75
31.0
10.9
668 15x8
45

LTB-04*
33x13.50-15LT

22/32
11.3
32.8
13.0
623 15x10

LTB-07*
34x10.50-15LT

4
22/32
9.25
33.6
11.2
603 15x8.5

So there isn't really one that is suitable except for the 31 which is a little small for my liking.

Anybody have prices at all? Who stocks swampers and pedes?

I'm not going to get into one of those tyre price debates because everyone's mate got some cheaper than that 3 days ago... How ever i can supply recommended retail prices, and i will when i get to work tomorrow.
