Thanks everyone for an awesome event (Crazie, car #61)

Just got home!

Steve and I had a ball and it was a great event and a big learning opportunity. An amazing property and was good to have the camp set up with everyone in one spot each night

Big cheers to Kev and the Koota kitchen boys. Food was excellent.

Thanks to Rudi and Hobz and all the marshalls

We will be back next year, now need to build a new gearbox and wash the truck several times.

Can't wait.. giddy up

Hi Guys - thanks for all the good comments and support. It sure makes it easy to make an early start on 09 preparations when we finish on a great note. The pressure was on us to come up with the goods and we did it with thanks to :
Ironman 4x4 (naming sponsor)
Silverstone $5000 Cash first place sponsor
Engel $3000 Cash 2nd place sponsor and 1 x $500 stage sponsor
On4ToU $2000 Cash 3rd place sponsor as well as sundry prizes
20 x stage sponsors @ $500 Cash each
Jeff and Yvonne Smith - Cootawundi Station
Kevvy from West Darling Hotel and his terrific crew
Nic and Danni - Spectator Leaders
Chippa and Danni (yep the same one) at Hole Shot Images for media
Mud Rhino for DVD production - 6 on ground cameras and several in car
Aaron (ATOC), Shiloe, Johnno (Silver City), Brad, Leon, Sandi the Tassie gang and all the other Mashals and part time marshels for their great effort and sharp pick ups and rules applications.
Hottie for the web updates
Leon Jones for CCDA contact - Log Books, memberships and guidance
Neil Smith from NKS Auto Electrics
ElGas for the camp Gas
Shafe for looking after camp, central comms and going about cleaning toilets etc without complaint.
Wilcannia and White Cliffs Bush Fire Brigade for water
Gill - Mrs Shafe for scoring
Jodie for medical support
The list goes on and on and if I name anyone I risk leaving someone out.
The spectators did a great job being where they had to be at the right time.
The competitors - you all did a top job, bahaved yourselves and were fair winners and losers when judgement calls were made. Thanks.

Keep the pics rolling in. I look here every half hour to see if there are more pics.

Rudes car is still at Wilcannia (blown auto) - can you imagine what the RACV will think when they get it - The Wilcannia locals beat em to it....

Hobzie and Rudi,Barb and i had a great week as did everyone else we spoke to . As the week went on each stage became more enjoyable. (Maybe not the nav stage in the forest). Justanissan did not let us down all week. A big thanks to Adam for his welding skills during a lunch break. and Kerry always ready to lend a hand.As usual at 4 wd drive events there are always plenty of people prepared to help.Barb did extremly well in all the winch stages with no problems for us in getting through any of the stages and she would like to thank everyone for making her feel like one of the boys.A big thanks to Kevin and the Coota kitchen for making us put on a kilo or two during the week.We will be back next year. On my calculations NSW came in third in the battle of the states.
A big thankyou to John Mcdonald (Jmac diff and gear) and Jason Dymick (Total care) for getting Justa ready to race.

Chris from Car 17 The LowRangers hear
Thanks to Rudi and Hobzie for a great event, this was the first time for this event for both of us and Big Wil and myself teaming up and we had a ball, considering Wil had ony drove the new truck for about 3 hours prior to Cliffhanger he drove like the devil was chasing him, we had a few dramas with the GPS (thanks to Rudi  for mixing up datums and other stuff I didn;t under stand you realy know how to mess with peoples heads) A special thanks to Jodie (medical team) for when Wil got a middle ear infection on thursday nights stage (funny to see the big guy with the wobbley boot on and he hadn't had a drop to drink) wasn't at the time though but we had a chuckle the next morning when he got back from White Cliffs Medical centre. A big thanks to al those people that helped to get us there, especialy to both our Wives who put up with us not being around for many days and nights gettng the truck build in time.To everyone involved in helping organise the event, all the other competitors for you help when asked and friendship, to Jacko and Griffo glad everything is ok I know you will be back and giving it everything, congrats to Ian and Heath on taking out this year. Thanks again to everyone especaily the Big Guy for a top week of driving see you all at SSS at Landcrusier in 3 weeks

Hi guys - just a quick note.

If anyone has any video footage (including incab footage) and would like it featured on the upcoming DVD, please send me a pm and we can organise it.

But please hurry as production on the DVD begins this sunday, and we can't use footage once we have started editing.

Additionally Rudi and Hobzee have agreed to provide anyone who contributes footage (that is utilised in the DVD) with a free copy of the final DVD.

Ant uses the Canon 400D SLR. There are more shots, so i'll post some more up. He was spending most of the time filming so theres not a huge amount.

I passed on how much you liked them and he was pretty cheesy about it. He's quite a humble fellow but I reckon they rock as well!
