JD2 Notch master. Upgrade time Thanks PETE

Post by bru21 »

about to order new bender - model 4.

thought I might get one of the "NOTCH MASTER" notchers at the same time

has anyone used one?

http://www.jd2.com/ under tube notchers.

The beast looks good but might need a few more clamps to hold the tube.

cheers Bru

from jd2. $675 freight though!

Really I should just buy a model 3 but I don't want to bolt it down - no where suitable.

Alright, well I made a few changes!!!

I went back and forth with pricing from the states, and at the end of the day decided I would rather have more dies and a tube master notcher than a hydro model 4.

I got a email from Pete from OPW who was at JD2 at the time.

Pete helped me with everything i needed and I ended up deciding to get the whole lot through OPW. This worked out well as I ordered it on tuesday and had it delivered this arvo! Will be easier when i come to get a 2" die soon too!

so i ended up with:

tube master with 3 shafts (so i don't need to remove / destroy the cutter each time.

model 3 bender

1" 3.5CLR
1.5" 4.5CLR
1.37 5.5CLR

so I have enough stuff to build my brothers 4130 tigged Drift cage this weekend.

I would like to thank Pete for his help with answering all my questions and
getting the gear here so fast.

cheers all
