does it count when it's on jack stands

I think it's a useful comparisson to measure this - good idea.

What part of the roof did you meansure it from? Perhaps the top of the windscreen or around the b-pillar area would be a good spot to keep it a consistant measurement for both hard and soft tops?

I read an issue of JP magazine recently that suggested that in a perfect world, for every 1" you raise your car, you should make it 1.5" wider to keep the same stability factor... I'm not sure how close we'll all get to that soft of figure though. Perhaps Mickbj42 will come close?

p.s. what about measuring wheelbase length too? I know it should be pretty consistant but for people who are moving axels back and forth it could come up a little different?

We should probably mention tyre size as well.

And can we keep the measurements consistant? :finger:

FYI, Mick's figures in inches are 71.5" tall and 74.8" wide

Guess I've admitted to the levels of butchery to fit my 31"s.....

I guess the real proof is to line em up side by side.... people's idea's of what heigth they are running varies greatly by where they meause and what surface.

I'm only that tall to the top of the glass section on the windscreen at the side - the highest point (top of snorkel) is substantially taller, as is the high points of the soft-top.

The was tread similar more recently (last 2 years) that was door handle heights. Towards the end of the tread I think WB and track were included as well.
