Pump primer

Post by DX80 »

My primer in my 80 is a bit dodgy and takes a fair while to pump diesel. Bear in mind I have a Racor in line fuel/water separator. Wonderring if anyone has put an aftermarket heavy duty one in or go for a spec one again?????

Dave.

Head down to the local diesel parts supplier, they will have a range of standalone primers and primer/filter heads.

If your primer head is losing pressure, fair chance some seals are gone and you may be sucking air in via the primer head when driving.

Here is a combo primer/filter in my Camolux (its a generic fitment)

Cheers Area 54. Shall try and get it sorted in the next day or so. It was priming heaps better before I put the extra filter in.

Cheers,

Dave.
