fixing interior body rust

Post by robjohno »

hey i have removed all the carpet and underlay out of my swb gq/safari. there is a about 30cm x 30cm area of surface rust at the rear between the barn doors and the fuel tank acess hole. would any of you know of a procedure using a sander/grinder and off the shelf products from repco/supercrap that would be best to fix this in a day/weekend

Use a wire wheel on a grinder to remove the bulk of the rust then apply a rust treatment/converter. Follow the instructions on the converter and then prime and paint.
