Pajero Fuel Gauge

Post by fervit »

Got my pajero (94 NJ 3L Auto) and i am finding the fuel gauge very frustrating! While driving it will keep moving around, generally it'll show a difference of a quarter of the tank. Got in tonight and it was showing half full, then after a few minutes it went up to 3/4 full, then back down, and so it went on. I've got no idea what level my tank is really at, or my fuel consumption!

Has anyone had this problem, or have any ideas?

Nuh, never happend to me, maybe some sort of grounding problem, maybe faulty guage or sender unit. You could try sourcing a used one from a wrecker somewhere.
