Post by g4cube »

Was on a quick drive last night and there was a loud bang in the back then something hitting the bottom of the car. Had to winch it out for hours not that much fun really. http://picasaweb.google.com/4x4patrol/B ... 00708854AM

Is it a rear axle or the pinion shaft (or both)?

It is the rear left and the carrier bearing is thrashed also looks like the backing plate for the crown wheel took it as well. I am hoping to fix it fairly easily with my brothers help and i do hope the locker didn't get wreaked as well. At the moment i don't care how i fix it as long as it drives because it wont be on the dirt for awhile now so even if i stuck any rear end on it would do.
