4 runner upgrade ideas, plz help!!
hey there ppl
just wondering if anyone knows what you can replace a 91 4 runner 2.4l, 22r engine with that will drop straight in with minimal effort or customization. is there a bigger one i can put in as i feel a 2.4 is a little small haha. i have looked at v8 con versions and worked out i cant afford it as it will be my daily driver.

I'd pass on the V6. not GM's finest work and I've seen some very good conversions still suffer from heat problems etc - and after all that they're still not really that powerful.

Put a good rad in front of them and there fine, and not that powerfull well use an ecotec V6 (you can't say they don't have a few hairy one's). almost cheaper to do that then put a reco diesel inI'd pass on the V6. not GM's finest work and I've seen some very good conversions still suffer from heat problems etc - and after all that they're still not really that powerful.

The 1KZ is very expensive, cheapest iv seen one of those complete ready to go is about 3g, for that price u can have a 3rz in ur truck with $500 change.

They are easy to cool, maybe the motor in the one you mention is r**ted.
