93 Disco V8 Normal running temp ?

Post by sickgm »

Hi, Just wondering what most 93ish V8 disco's temp gauge sits on?

I drove from Melbourne to the central coast and my needle sat on half way for most of the trip and occasionally moved over half just slightly.

What is considered normal ?

right, well this was not a real hot day so I am wondering if it will move allot more than that on a hot day???

What about in sand or hill climbs??? would that make a huge effect?

I think you both may have dirty radiators.
Most Rover v8s run 88c thermostats and this usually puts the gauge just below 1/2 and it should not move, as there is quite a latitude in temp before the gauge moves maybe 105C.
It should not move at all and not over half.
